Sophie is a freelance hornist currently based in Boulder, Colorado. She is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Orchestral Performance at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Sophie has been an active freelancer in New England and beyond, performing with orchestras including the Boston Pops Orchestra, New World Symphony, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, and more. She also served as Principal Horn of the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra from 2022-2023.

In 2020, Sophie graduated from Northwestern University with her Bachelor of Music in Horn performance. She studied with Gail Williams and Jonathan Boen throughout her time at Northwestern. 

In 2024, Sophie performed as the Horn Fellow at the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine, where she was featured in solo, chamber music, and orchestral performances. In 2024 and 2025, she performed as a guest with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra.
