Sophie is a freelance hornist based in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from New England Conservatory with her Master's of Music in Horn Performance in the spring of 2023.

Sophie has become an active freelancer in New England and beyond, performing with orchestras including the Boston Pops Orchestra, New World Symphony, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, and more. She also served as Principal Horn of the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra from 2022-2023.

In 2020, Sophie graduated from Northwestern University with her Bachelor of Music in Horn performance. She studied with Gail Williams and Jonathan Boen throughout her time at Northwestern. 

In 2024, Sophie performed as the Horn Fellow at the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine, where she was featured in solo, chamber music, and orchestral performances. In 2025, she will perform as a guest with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra.
